If you have already downloaded my broken line brushes, these brushes may look somewhat familiar to you. If they do, it’s because they are nearly identical. There are two fundamental differences however. In this set, the corner tiles have been removed and the patterns have been rotated 90 degrees. I did this so that these brushes will produce radial patterns when you apply them to a circular shape.

You may also notice the Vecteezy logo in the branding.  For the first time, Colorburned is partnering with Vecteezy to release a set of brushes.  If you’ve never heard of Vecteezy, take a look at their site.  They’ve got a lot of really great resources for graphic designers including: Photoshop brushes and patterns.  You can also visit their sister site Brusheezy for some great vector downloads!

This set contains 50 free high quality Illustrator brushes perfect for creating retro radial patterns.  To use these brushes you will first need to download the brush file and save it to your hard drive.  Once downloaded, open up your brush palette and in the fly out menu Select Open Brush Library > Other Library > and locate the file on your hard drive.  I saved the brush file back to Illustrator CS.  So these brushes should work with Illustrator CS and above.  Once you have the brush file open, start circles and apply the brush to it.
