Envoy Town Blog

Last month, I was contacted by WebMedley, an interactive group that designs websites for faith-based organizations. They were looking for a designer who could create some mockups for a new blog for Envoy Creative, a media group that produces media for over 1,000 radio stations nation-wide. Envoy Creative wanted to use this new blog to distribute their content via podcast to their listenership.

It was essential for the new site, EnvoyTown.com to have a town look and feel.  To accomplish this, I experimented with a number of ideas.  In the end, I decided to create a cartoon-like illustration of a small town and use it for the site’s header.  I had to work around a very tight deadline for this project so that I could provide the designs to WebMedley for the HTML/CSS markup and WordPress implementation, but after spending a couple of all-nighters sketching out ideas and working them up in illustrator, I finally came up with this design.  I was really happy with how the design turned out and am very glad to have worked on this project.  You can view the live site at EnvoyTown.com.
