Tweet This!

Tweet This!

Yesterday, I rolled out a new design for this website.  During the design phase of this site I put a lot of thought into how the design would work.  Being a Twitter addict, I knew early on that I wanted to incorporate Twitter into as much of this site as possible.  There are a number of plug-ins that can be used to add a Twitter ID into the comments or even track tweets about a particular post.  I liked just about all these plug-ins but I really loved the Tweet This feature, a plug-in that you could use to post a tweet by simply clicking on an icon.

I noticed that some other sites like Smashing Magazine were using the Tweet This feature but I wanted a really cool, really unique icon of my own, not just a standard Twitter Bird.  So I contacted Ryan Putnam from Vectips (@vectips)and asked if he could help.  Ryan did an amazing job and was able to turn around this fantastic-looking little Twitter bird within just a few days.  Anyhow, feel free to click on this little guy as much as you like!  I really appreciate the help with my articles and the Twitter bird loves to be clicked!

    hello,
can you please tell me what plugin do you use for the sharing space below the post (with the Twitter bird, Bigg, etc)?
    thanks

  7. @adi, the only plug-in used in that area is the Tweet This plug-in. I used the standard Digg widget as well and also linked up the icons with their respective websites.
