Great chat. Good tips Jeff. We are looking for design work for our inner beauty movie short as well- a deferred pay thing, but with worldwide festival submissions including imdb and oscar qualifiers. Ideas will interim handy while we view portfolios of artists. Liked the hitchcock poster- our other short "the shed" is in style of Hitchcock. Best of luck interfacing with those Tinseltown firms!

I love the tips by Jeff. In fact, I hear great things from the whole GoMedia crew. I really like his point about getting the word out. I feel that sometimes, you can feel afraid or... I don't know... intimidated to promote yourself. But, if you don't do it, who is?

Awesome interview Grant! As always.

Thanks for the chat Grant, it was a pleasure. Please note that not all the designs in the post are mine - but rather work that Go Media has done. The Amores Perros posters are Oliver Barrett's and Chris Comella's work respectively. The blue Cult Film Series and Hitchcock posters were also Chris' work. The rest is mine.

Great interview Jeff! I think much of what you discussed can be applied to designers looking to break into many different industries. Getting the word out and getting in touch with the people that can make it happen are key. Very inspirational.
