Call to Action is a web design term used to describe any type of element that solicits a response from a user. In this 11 minute video tutorial I demonstrate how to create a call to action button using Adobe Fireworks CS4. In this tutorial I demonstrate several features of Fireworks CS4 including how to use gradients, add shadowing, create shapes, and add filters and effects.

Thank you, I’ll copy this post to my blog.

Great Tut. I have been using Photoshop for about ten years now and have not used Fireworks much but this has inspired me to start using it more.
Never took the time to fall in love with Fireworks like I did with Photoshop. This tutorial I’m going to give a try though. There has to be something about an app like Fireworks to make it so popular and I feel like I might be missing out on something!
