27 High Quality Paintbrush Style Illustrator Brushes Part 2
As you know, I am always looking for news ways to produce graphic design resources. Sometimes my methods involve learning new skills; other times it involves the use of new materials. Recently, I have been experimenting with ink instead of paint to produce Photoshop and Illustrator brushes. Ink is better than paint in several ways. It dries faster, it’s not as sticky, and it’s not as hard on my scanner. So today I am releasing part 2 of a 2-part illustrator brush set. Today’s set includes 27 high quality paintbrush style illustrator brushes that can be used in your designs. Enjoy!

Great stuff as usual Grant. Thanks for sharing. Posted them up on my site @ http://resourcehive.com/2010/04/07/27-high-quality-paintbrush-style-illustrator-brushes-part-2-colorburned/
Very nice share. thx a lot
Thanks so much- I look forward to using these. Have you ever done a tutorial or created brushes for Illustrator that mimic that Elvis Swift type of scratchy pen and ink line?
Convert these into Photoshop brushes also. Goes great with using a Wacom tablet or the Cintiq!
Great share!I look forward to using these too, but I dont have Illustrator. Is there a way to convert Illustrator brushes into Photoshop?
Thanks
Thanks for sharing! It would be a great if you also converted them in Photoshop format!
It is easy to convert them to photoshop….

It is easy, but how to do that?
I like the brushes but I always seem to have issues with your brushes. If the brush strokes overlap a white area is left where the paths intersect. Almost like a compound shape. Is there a reason for this? I’ve never encountered this before with my own brushes or others on the net.
JS, that’s actually my mistake. I used the wrong properties in the attributes palette. To fix it, drag the brush onto the canvas, ungroup it to remove the bounding box, delete the bounding box, open the attributes palette and select either “use even odd fill rule” or “use non zero winding fill rule” use whichever is not selected. Once that is done, drag it back into the brush palette. I hope this helps. Sorry for the problem. I will fix this set as soon as I can.
Thanks Grant….didn’t think of that. Thanks again for the brushes.
