]]> Not too long ago I was watching a home improvement show on television. During the show I noticed them using sponges to add some texture to a wall that they were painting. They were able to achieve a really nice, elegant effect by painting it with one color and dabbing a sponge with another. This got me thinking that the same effect could be created using Photoshop brushes. That is why today I am releasing a set of 10 high resolution sponge brushes that can be used to give your designs a textured look. Enjoy!

That is why I am always trying to create new sets of grunge brushes using different types of media. That way, no two designs of mine look alike. ]]> As you know, paint can be applied in an endless number of ways. Each method of spraying paint onto a surface will create a new result with its own unique characteristics. Just about everyone knows what spray paint looks like and just about every designer has tried to reproduce the look of spray paint at some point in their career. Needless to say, there are a ton of brushes and tutorials out there explaining how to produce this effect. Today, we decided to throw our own hat into the ring and release a set of 50 Photoshop Spray Paint Brushes of our own and release them to you guys for free. These brushes are a lot of fun to work with so please enjoy them!

]]> I am always trying to think up new ways to create Photoshop brushes. In the past you have probably seen me explain some of my techniques on this website, specifically how I use spray paint or a straw and paint to create sprays, splats, or drips. That technique works well but I’ve never been completely satisfied with the results because of the amount of time it takes to clean them up after being scanned.

After a bit of thought I decided to come up with a new way to create spray brushes in Photoshop that relied on ink instead of paint. Ink is thinner, it dries quicker and is easier to apply than paint so I decided to place a bottle of ink into a spray bottle (that used to be filled with carpet cleaner: remind me to label it later) and spray the ink onto paper. The result worked well and you can download these brushes below. Enjoy!

]]> Let’s face it; there are a lot of ways to produce clouds in Photoshop. If you ask Google how to create clouds in Photoshop, you’re likely to discover a list as long as the Internet itself. The main reason for this is that Adobe was nice enough to include a filter that creates clouds with just a few clicks. If you’ve ever tried to create clouds this way however, you’ve probably discovered that it doesn’t always come out the way that you would like. This is because the default cloud filter really isn’t the best way to produce photo-realistic clouds in Photoshop. In fact, the best way to product photo-realistic clouds in Photoshop is to just drop in a photo of some real ones.

Creating clouds using creative photo manipulation is great but it has drawbacks as well. What if you can’t find the right photo? Or what if you want to create your own cloudscape without the use of photos or filters?

That’s why today we’re releasing a set of 25 High Resolution Brushes for Creating Clouds in Photoshop. These brushes are really great at producing stunning horizons, sunsets, and skies. You can really have a lot of fun with this set and because there are no edges on these brushes the possibilities are truly endless.

]]> Ever notice how inspiration always hits you when you least expect it to? The other day I had just sat down in front of the television. I was flicking through some of the channels and just happened to see a promo for some show that had some really nice typography with dripping ink. I instantly started thinking about how this could be accomplished and realized that a nice set of Photoshop Brushes would work nicely.

I instantly got to work and the result was a set of 35 High Resolution Photoshop Brushes that can be used to Create Ink Drips in Photoshop. After a bit of experimentation I realized that this set could be used for a variety of purposes aside from just ink drips. In fact, this set works well for water drips or even ice sickles.
