]]> It’s been a while since I’ve published much of anything around here so today, I’ve put together a set of 10 seamless plaid patterns for Illustrator and Photoshop that you can use in your designs. The patterns are available in both Illustrator and Photoshop format and can be imported as a .PAT file in Photoshop or as an .AI file in Illustrator. When you open the Illustrator file don’t forget to check the swatches palette. Hope you guys enjoy this set! Hopefully, I’ll have some more goodies for you soon.

]]> A while back I snapped some photos at the quilting exhibit at state fair where I live. I came back with a lot of ideas for creating seamless vector patterns and decided to put a few of them to use. The result was 4 fabric inspired pattern swatches based on some of the quilts that I saw. In this download you will find a vector houndstooth pattern, a basket weave, a mosaic, as well as a really nice rectangular pattern that you can use in your work.

]]> I’ve been feeling a bit patriotic lately so I decided to have a bit of fun and release a set of patriotic brushes and swatches with a “stars & stripes” theme.  I will be honest with you; this set isn’t all that innovative.  There really aren’t very many ways to display star and stripe patterns.  That’s why most political and patriotic designs look practically the same; with a few notable exceptions.  I released this set because I think it can save you guys a little time the next time you have to create a patriotic design.

Included in this set are 2 files; an Illustrator Swatch file and an Illustrator Brush file, both of which are compatible with Illustrator CS and above.  I hope you all enjoy!  Go America!  YAH!

]]> The first graphic design software I ever learned was Macromedia Fireworks. For those of you familiar with the software you may be aware of the many tileable vertical, horizontal, diagonal and crosshatch patterns that ship with the software. These patterns were great; they allowed me to quickly create graphical mockups without having to spend a lot of time trying to get background tiles to line up properly. When I began branching out to other design programs such as Illustrator or Photoshop however, I quickly noticed how those patterns were missing. I spent a lot time frustrated in those early days trying to figure out how to create repeating backgrounds. Most of the time, I simply gave up and went with a design without those elements.

That’s why today I am releasing a set of 55 seamless lines & crosshatch swatches for Adobe Illustrator.  Just because it took me a little while to figure out how to design these elements, doesn’t mean that you guys should go without them as well.  So feel free to use these patterns in both your personal and professional work.  They are perfect for just about any type of design and I tried to include a variety of patterns with lines of varying width and direction.
