Power Lines Are Soooo 19th Century

It’s been a rough week here at Colorburned HQ. A freak wind storm as a result of Hurricane Ike came through the area and took out power to 75% of the area. I’ve never seen anything like it. I was setting up some Illustrator brushes that I was planning to release this week while I was in New York. I had literally just hit save on the last file and was all of a sudden hit by sustained gusts of what seemed to be 45-50 mph winds. The strange part was that during the whole ordeal there was no rain and not a cloud in the sky. If the wind wasn’t blowing so hard, it would have been a gorgeous day. I live in a wooded area so it didn’t take long before I could hear the sound of massive trees and limbs breaking and falling from the sky. Shortly after that, my power cut off and I’ve been without power and more importantly Internet ever since.

Needless to say, I wasn’t able to adhere to my posting schedule for this week and I don’t think I will be able to post anything before Monday of next. I’m only able to post this entry because I decided to have breakfast at Panera Bread Company. I promise however, that the freebies I have ready to release are awesome and totally worth the wait. Thanks for all the well wishes everyone has offered on Twitter and elsewhere. I leave for New York tomorrow and I can’t tell you how excited I am to have electricity, Internet and also, to see my girlfriend.
